Bhopal: The Department of Computer Science & Applications at Sant Hirdaram Girls College organized a three-day e-waste collection drive recently. The concerted initiative aimed to promote environmental stewardship, institutional sustainability and awareness regarding the proper disposal of electronic waste.
Students actively participated by designing creative collection bins and gathering e-waste from across the campus. The drive witnessed robust and proactive contributions from both students and faculty members, reflecting the institution’s collective commitment to sustainability.
All collected e-waste will be responsibly handed over to the Pollution Control Board for eco-friendly disposal, ensuring minimal environmental impact and supporting the vision of a cleaner, greener planet.
Dr. Dalima Parwani, Principal of the college, commended the Department of Computer Science & Applications for spearheading such a meaningful initiative and fostering environmental consciousness among students. She emphasized that responsible e-waste management is a vital step toward building a sustainable and tech-conscious society.
