MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed his happiness over the launch of The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace Hotel in Khajuraho. He stated that the opening of this luxury five-star hotel by one of India’s prestigious hotel chains will boost tourism in the state. Both domestic & international tourists are increasingly attracted to Madhya Pradesh’s rich historical & cultural heritage, along with its vibrant wildlife.
CM Dr. Yadav made these remarks during a discussion with Arjun Oberoi and Shankar from the Oberoi Group at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday. Additional Chief Secretary (Tourism) Sheo Shekhar Shukla was also present. CM was formally invited by Oberoi Group representatives to the inauguration of The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace Hotel.
The State Government has leased Rajgarh Palace to the Oberoi Group after renovating and restoring it to operate as a five-star hotel. The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace is situated near Chandranagar, set amidst lush gardens between the Mangadh and Maniyagadh hills. This 350-year-old palace, built by the Bundela dynasty, is a blend of Indian architecture and traditional Bundelkhand features.
The hotel, developed by the Oberoi Group, will feature a palace-style restaurant, a grand banquet hall, and 66 luxurious rooms. It is expected to become an ideal venue for corporate events, destination weddings, social functions, and more.
