In accordance with the announcement of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Kanya Shiksha Parisar run by the Department of Tribal Affairs will now be called Mata Shabari Awasiya Kanya Shiksha Parisar. The state government issued orders to this effect.
It is noteworthy that CM Dr. Mohan Yadav announced this during his recent Shahdol visit.
Currently, 82 Parisars and 8 Model Residential Schools are being run with an objective of promoting education among girls from tribal communities. These institutions provide both educational and residential facilities.
Each Parisar accommodates 490 students from Class 6 to 12, with 70 students per class, and each Model Residential School accommodates 245 students from Class 6 to 12, having 35 students per class.
Students are provided with uniforms, blue blazers, books, stationery, toiletries, and nutritional meals. Each student receives an annual expenditure of Rs 15,000.
Additionally, for various activities such as sports, cultural and academic events, laboratories, libraries, medical and emergency care, an annual amount of Rs 7.10 lakhs per school is being spent.
