Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the Maha Aarti of Maa Narmada on Monday evening at Gwarighat, the sacred bank of the holy river Maa Narmada. Union Minister Nadda’s wife Mrs. Mallika Banerjee also participated in the Maha Aarti.
Nadda and CM Yadav prayed to Maa Narmada in the presence of priests with full rituals amid the echo of Swasti-Vachan, Har-Har Narmada, Jaikaras of Maa Narmada and verses of Narmadashtakam and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the country and the state. Nadda and Dr. Yadav also performed milk Abhishek of Maa Narmada and offered lamps.
Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, Rajya Sabha member Sumitra Valmiki, MP Ashish Dubey, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu, MLA and party state president Hemant Khandelwal also participated in the Maha Aarti of Maa Narmada.
Religious leaders and saints were present at the Maha Aarti. At the end of the Narmada Maha Aarti, 14-year-old Tejaswini Dubey made everyone take a pledge to keep Maa Narmada clean and tidy.
