Madhya Pradesh’s longest flyover ‘Madanmahal to Damoh Naka’ will be inaugurated by Union Road Transport and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Saturday, August 23. As part of the preparations for the inauguration program, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh inspected this flyover on Wednesday along with public representatives and administrative officials.
Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh said that it is a matter of great happiness that Union Road Transport Minister Mr. Gadkari is coming to Madhya Pradesh to inaugurate MP’s largest flyover.
Unique features of the flyover
Singh said that this 7 km long flyover built in Jabalpur at a cost of about 1100 crores is the largest flyover in MP. Along with this, the country’s longest single span cable stay bridge built over the railway track is also built in it, whose length is 192 meters. 3 bow string bridges have been built in it, out of which two have been built in Ranital and one in Baldevbagh, which is completely made of steel. Its length will be about 70 meters.
About 50 thousand sapling have been planted under this flyover for environmental protection. Also, basketball court, open gym, park for children have been built under the flyover itself. Directional boards have been installed at 10 places in the entire flyover.
Singh said that right now it takes about 40 to 45 minutes for a vehicle to travel from Madanmahal to Damoh Naka, but after the start of traffic on the flyover, this distance will be covered in just 6 to 8 minutes. This flyover will not only organize the traffic of Jabalpur but will also prove to be a milestone for the metropolitan form of Jabalpur. The Public Works Minister has appealed to the people of Jabalpur to attend the inauguration program of this big gift received by Jabalpur.
