Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has clarified and apologized for her comments on Bipasha Basu in an old video.
Recently, Mrunal wrote in her Instagram story: At the age of 19, I said many stupid things. I did not understand how much impact my words have and even things said in joke can hurt someone, but it happened, and for this I sincerely apologize. I never intended to body shame anyone.
Mrunal further wrote: It was a light-hearted joke in an interview that went a bit too far. I understand how it hit people, and really wish I had chosen my words differently. Over time, I understood that beauty comes in all forms, and I truly believe this now.
In fact, recently an old video of Mrunal Thakur went viral. The video was from the time when she was working in the TV show ‘Kumkum Bhagya.
During an interview, when Mrunal’s co-star Arijit Taneja gave her the task of doing a headstand, the actress replied, “Do you want to marry a girl who is masculine and has muscles?”
As soon as Arijit said, “I will marry a toned girl”, Mrunal mocked him and said, “Go and marry Bipasha.”
The actor further said that if she was in this show, I would definitely marry her, to which Mrunal said, “I am a million times better than Bipasha, okay.”
Recently, after this video of Mrunal went viral, people started criticizing her. One user wrote in the comment, do not compare yourself with Bipasha, you should be ashamed.
One user criticized Mrunal and wrote, look, being confident is a good thing, but not this much. Another user wrote, you are not even half of Bipasha.
