Gym workouts have become a go-to fitness escape for many, offering not just physical benefits but also a powerful way to de-stress and recharge the mind. Whether it’s lifting weights, hitting the treadmill, or doing circuit training, the gym becomes a personal space for many artists to reconnect with themselves. &TV artist Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) shares how her gym routines help her stay physically strong and mentally refreshed.
Vidisha Srivastava shares, “While I love Pilates and yoga, I also enjoy hitting the gym, especially when I need an energy boost. My favourite workout in the gym is Pilates-based strength training, which uses resistance machines or free weights to build core strength and improve posture.”
Vidisha says, “What truly helps me get in the zone is silence. Before my workout, I take five quiet minutes to ground myself, no screens, no noise. It helps me be more mindful and present during the session. I prefer not to eat anything before the workout, just keep myself well-hydrated with coconut water.”
Vidisha Srivastava says further, “My playlist is usually soft instrumental for warmups and transitions to energetic pop when I start training. Workout, to me, is not about pushing to the extreme; it’s about showing up, moving with intention, and feeling stronger from the inside out.”
