MP: Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav celebrated Deepawali with the elderly at Anand Dham Ashram run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Shivaji Nagar Bhopal. CM Dr. Yadav directed the Commissioner of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities to run old age homes for the elderly in Ujjain, Orchha, Omkareshwar and Chitrakoot and provide necessary facilities to the elderly in them.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav greeted the elderly on Deepawali and received their blessings. CM also lit sparklers with the elderly and celebrated Deepawali by presenting them sweets and gifts. Many social workers were present on this occasion.
CM Dr. Yadav received information about the activities of Anand Dham. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that after God, parents have a place. My parents have left for their heavenly abode. But today after coming to Anand Dham, it seems as if I have come among my parents.
After meeting and discussing with the elderly, CM Dr. Yadav discussed with the officials of Anand Dham. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that such Dhams and Ashrams will be started at places of religious importance in the state. With this, the elderly people will be able to join these programs.
In addition, specific initiatives will be taken to support the care and treatment of elderly people. For those seniors residing in Anand Dham or an old age home, whose children are working abroad and who encounter health-related issues, arrangements will be made to assist them. Hospital beds will be reserved to ensure that these elderly people can receive the necessary medical attention.
The elderly women and men were very happy to have Chief Minister Dr. Yadav among them. They thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for coming to Anand Dham and also blessed him.
The elderly people also sang Badi Der Bhai Nandlala.. and other bhajans in Anand Dham Ashram. The officials of Seva Bharti Sanstha were present on the occasion.
The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities is running 83 old age homes for the overall welfare and rehabilitation of senior citizens in the state.
