After being overlooked for the BJP ticket for the Budhni assembly by-election, Kartikey Singh Chouhan, son of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has pledged his full support to party candidate Ramakant Bhargava. On Sunday, Kartikey made it clear that he would campaign for Bhargava. He acknowledged that there are many leaders within the party who are more qualified and deserving than him (Kartikey).
Kartikey Singh Chouhan announced that he would begin his election campaign immediately, starting with a visit to the Salkanpur Mata Mandir along with Ramakant Bhargava. He emphasized that the campaign would be well-strategized to ensure a strong performance in the by-election. Kartikey highlighted the importance of teamwork. He said the party is united and determined to secure victory.
“We will enter the field with a strategy aimed at achieving a massive victory,” he said, underscoring the collaborative effort that would define the campaign.
Kartikey expressed his deep respect for Ramakant Bhargava, calling him a seasoned and experienced leader under whose guidance many elections had been fought. He reiterated that Bhargava’s leadership was instrumental for the party in Budhni and that the experience of senior leaders like Bhargava would be critical to success.
“There are many leaders in the BJP who are more qualified and deserving than me,” Kartikey said. “I have never worked with the expectation of receiving a ticket. My efforts have always been focused on serving the people of Budhni, the party, and our shared ideology.”
Kartikey underscored the role of ideology in keeping the party united, comparing it to a garland that binds every worker together. He considered it a privilege to have had his name proposed for the party’s candidate panel, but made it clear that his commitment to Budhni and the BJP did not rely on receiving a ticket.
“I am determined to leave no stone unturned in the Budhni elections,” Kartikey declared. “We will fight these elections under Ramakant ji’s leadership with double the strength and win. Ramakant Bhargava is like a father to me, and I will work with full energy to secure victory.”
Kartikey further emphasized that the party workers would seek blessings from Goddess Maa at Salkanpur before intensifying their efforts for the election.
Addressing the media, Kartikey Singh Chouhan explained that his motivation for working for Budhni’s people has never been tied to receiving a ticket. He stated that his work for the region and its people has always been out of dedication as a common worker, and he would continue to serve regardless of official positions.
“I don’t need a ticket to connect with the people of Budhni,” he said. “I have worked for them in the past as a common party worker, and I will continue to do so.”
Kartikey’s announcement reflects his steadfast commitment to the party and to the people of Budhni. His decision to support Ramakant Bhargava and work towards a victorious campaign, despite not being the candidate, is a testament to his dedication to the BJP’s ideology and goals in the region.
