Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the sanitation workers of Jhabua district in Madhya Pradesh during his popular program “Mann Ki Baat.” Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also tuned in to the program from Indore, expressing his gratitude to PM Modi for highlighting the efforts of these dedicated workers.
In today’s episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ PM Modi commended the sanitation workers for turning the concept of ‘Waste to Wealth’ into a tangible reality. He noted their successful implementation of the 3-R mantra: ‘Reduce-Reuse-Recycle.’ The creative artwork produced by the sanitation team from waste materials in Jhabua’s park was described as remarkable, representing a commendable initiative for environmental protection.
PM Modi stated, “Something wonderful is happening in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, which everyone must know about.” He highlighted the incredible achievements of the sanitation workers, who have crafted various artifacts from discarded materials found in the city. These include impressive artworks made from items such as plastic bottles, old tires, and pipes, resulting in creations like helicopters, cannons, cars, the Jhabua Municipality logo, plant beds, and benches.
The Prime Minister emphasized that these artworks and the overall project in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Park were accomplished solely through the hard work of the sanitation workers, without any external assistance. The initiative was led by Incharge Sanitation Inspector Kamlesh Jaiswal and Tony Maliya, under the guidance of the Chief Municipal Officer. The design contributions came from sanitation workers Sachin Kalia and Nitesh Ramesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed appreciation for the sanitation workers, citizens, and administrative staff for their outstanding work under the leadership of Jhabua Collector Neha Meena and Municipality President Kavita Singar as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission Abhiyaan-2024. He expressed hope that this successful ‘Waste to Wealth’ initiative would inspire similar projects in other districts.
