Raipur: Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is scheduled to visit the Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh on April 22.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will also be present on this occasion. The Tendulkar Foundation had previously undertaken initiatives aimed at promoting rural sports in the region and engaging children in sports training. This visit holds particular significance as it takes place following the return of normalcy to the region.
During this visit, he will participate in various programs organized in Chhindnar village, situated along the banks of the Indravati River and bordering the Abujhmad region. His itinerary for the visit also includes playing cricket with local children and interacting with the youth of the area.
Recently, a team from the Foundation toured various parts of the state to assess the ground reality regarding education and healthcare services. The team visited remote forest areas to engage with local institutions, health centers, and children, making an effort to understand their specific needs.
According to unconfirmed sources, this visit is expected to provide further momentum to ongoing efforts related to sports and social development in the rural and tribal regions.
