Governor Mangubhai Patel said that he felt immense joy in attending the 30th Convocation Ceremony of Vikram University Ujjain. Congratulating all the students receiving degrees, he wished them a bright and successful future. He remarked that arriving in Ujjain brings a unique spiritual experience. He also noted that a student educated at Samrat Vikramaditya University has today become the Chief Minister of the state.
The 30th Convocation Ceremony of Samrat Vikramaditya University was held on Tuesday at the Swarn Jayanti Auditorium in Ujjain under the chairmanship of Governor Patel and with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav as the Chief Guest.
Ujjain Chosen by Lord Shri Krishna as His Place of Learning: CM
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Ujjain, a global centre of knowledge, science, and spirituality, was chosen by Lord Shri Krishna as his place of education. He highlighted that this land of 64 arts and 14 disciplines has been the workplace of Samrat Vikramaditya, an emblem of good governance, valour, justice and Indian cultural consciousness. He said that the 30th convocation is not merely a distribution of degrees, but the outcome of seven decades of dedication that has produced skilled human resources and outstanding scholars. The association of the university with the name of Samrat Vikramaditya has enhanced the prestige of both the institution and its students.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated students receiving Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.) degrees, gold medals and other academic degrees. He described the convocation as not the end of education, but the beginning of a new journey of lifelong learning and a significant turning point in life. He expressed confidence that the students would contribute to the holistic development of the state and the nation while fulfilling their duties with dedication and commitment.
