Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that world-class education should be made available to the state’s students within Madhya Pradesh, reducing the need for students seeking higher education to study abroad and providing them with an academic environment of international quality locally.
Dr. Yadav was addressing a high-level meeting held at the Good Governance Building last Wednesday. The state government has decided to form a special task force to establish study centers of international universities. Orders in this regard will be issued soon.
Officials from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis stated that rapid progress is being made in this regard. Active discussions are underway with two world-renowned universities in the United States, Arizona State University (ASU) and Purdue University, and with Taiwan’s prestigious Asia University, to establish their study centers in Madhya Pradesh.
These world-class institutions are globally recognized for their excellence in education, research, and innovation. At the government level, discussions are ongoing with the top management of these universities to expedite the realization of these possibilities.
Students will have access to international courses
The state government intends that the opening of study centers at prestigious universities will further enhance the quality of higher education in the state. Students will have access to international courses in engineering, AI, data science, healthcare science, management, and emerging technological fields. Local industries, startups, and the innovation ecosystem will also benefit from high-level expertise and joint research programs.
Prof. Santosh Vishwakarma is being nominated as the chairperson of a task force being formed by the state government. This task force will study all technical, academic, and legal aspects related to the establishment of study centers at international universities and will expedite the process of negotiating agreements with these universities.
If negotiations with international universities are successful, Madhya Pradesh will become the most attractive and ideal destination in the country for higher education. The extensive educational network of global universities will provide new opportunities and new directions for the state’s talents in the newly developed landscape.
Dr. Rajiv Dixit, Vice President of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis, Principal Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Institute, Gulshan Bamra and Director, Rishi Garg along with other officials were also present in the meeting.
