MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will spend the whole day on Saturday, October 18, with farmers and celebrate Dhanteras with them. He will hold dialogue with them during the Kisan Sammelan being organized at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Following this, he will participate in Kisan Sammelan organized in Biaora (Rajgarh district) and Bilkisganj Jhagariya (Sehore district), where he will distribute relief amount to farmers. In Biaora, the Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will transfer ₹277 crore as relief to farmers affected by natural disasters and lay the foundation stone for the Biaora Urban Water Supply Scheme worth Rs 33 crore.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will also lay foundation stones and inaugurate 41 development works worth ₹193 crore. Later, in Bilkisganj Jhagariya of Sehore district, he will distribute over ₹118 crore in crop loss relief to more than two lakh farmers, transferring the amount directly into their bank accounts.
Kisan Sammelan at CM’s Residence
In the morning, Dr. Yadav will address farmers at the Kisan Sammelan at the CM Residence premises, discussing matters concerning their welfare. He will also highlight various welfare initiatives and innovations being undertaken by the state government in agriculture and allied sectors.
Farmers will celebrate Dhanteras and Diwali with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and will express gratitude for the revolutionary inclusion of soybean crops under the Bhavantar Payment Scheme.
Around 2,500 progressive farmers from Narmadapuram, Bhopal, Sehore, Rajgarh, Raisen, and Vidisha districts are expected to attend the event.
Purpose of Kisan Sammelan
The main objective is to inform farmers about the Bhavantar Payment Scheme and encourage them to maximize its benefits. Senior officials from the Agriculture Department will explain the scheme’s process, eligibility criteria, and benefit distribution in detail.
Under the Bhavantar Scheme, soybean-producing farmers in the state can sell their crops at agricultural produce markets between October 24, 2025, and January 15, 2026. The eligible farmers will receive the price difference amount directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts within 15 days of sale.
The registration process for this scheme on the e-procurement portal is completed by October 17, to ensure no eligible farmer is left out.
