The Department of Ophthalmology of AIIMS Bhopal marked an outstanding presence at the 48th Annual Conference ‘Chakshusi’ of the Madhya Pradesh State Ophthalmic Society (MPSOS), held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
Under the guidance of Executive Director & CEO, Prof. (Dr.) Madhabananda Kar, and the leadership of Head of Department, Prof. (Dr.) Bhavana Sharma, AIIMS Bhopal received multiple prestigious recognitions at this esteemed conference.
Senior Resident Dr. Khyati Nirapure received the Best Free Paper Award in the Pediatric Ophthalmology category. Junior Resident Dr. Nikita Ahuja was conferred the Late Kumud V. A. Joshi Award for her PG paper presentation on “Chemical Injury: Taming the Old Foe.”
Likewise, Junior Resident Dr. Saurabhi Jha won the First Prize for her case presentation on “Varied Spectrum of Cases: A Clinical Trilogy on OSSN.”
On this occasion, Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Madhabananda Kar said that these achievements are a matter of great pride for AIIMS Bhopal and its Department of Ophthalmology. He added that this success reflects the institute’s commitment to academic excellence and highlights how its students and researchers are developing clinically relevant and socially beneficial medical solutions through their research.
