The 16-member Indian Test squad for the upcoming home series against Bangladesh has been revealed. Notable inclusions are Rishabh Pant, who returns to the Test team, and Jasprit Bumrah, making his comeback to international cricket since the T20 World Cup.
New faces Akash Deep and Yash Dayal have also been selected. Dayal earns his first call-up to the Indian Test team, while Akash Deep, who debuted internationally against England in Ranchi, has been recognized for his impressive performances in the Duleep Trophy.
However, Shreyas Iyer is notably absent from the squad. In contrast, KL Rahul makes his return to the Test lineup. Additionally, Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel, who made notable debuts in the previous home Test series against England, have both been included in the team.
