
Opposition members created a ruckus in Rajya Sabha on Thursday on the issue of immigrants returned from America, due to which the proceedings had to be adjourned.
Deputy Chairman Harivansh told during Zero Hour in the House that 13 notices have been received under Rule 267. These notices are on immigrants returned from America and Mahakumbh arrangements and other issues. He told that all these notices are being rejected as they are not in accordance with the rules.
Leaders of the Congress, Samajwadi Party (SP) and some other opposition parties on Thursday protested in the Parliament premises over the issue of sending back alleged illegal immigrants from the US to India.
Congress organization general secretary KC Venugopal, Samajwadi Party MP Dharmendra Yadav and several other opposition MPs involved in the protest were wearing handcuffs on their hands. They raised slogans of ‘We will not tolerate the insult of the country‘ and ‘Modi government hai hai’.

A US military plane carrying 104 illegal Indian immigrants from the US landed in Amritsar on Wednesday. This is the first batch of Indians sent back by the Donald Trump administration as part of the action against illegal immigrants. In the pictures, handcuffs were seen on the hands of those sent back to India.
