The 38th National Games began in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the opening ceremony at the Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium. PM Modi made a striking entrance, riding a chariot into the stadium.
Addressing the opening ceremony, PM Narendra Modi said that the National Games are beginning today. This year is the 25th year of the formation of Uttarakhand. Thousands of youth from every corner of the country will show their strength and talent in this young state. A very beautiful picture of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is visible here. This time’s National Games are a kind of Green Games.
PM Modi said that these National Games are being organized here in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. The spectators who come here from other parts of the country will visit various places in Uttarakhand. That is, this does not only benefit the players but the economy also grows.
PM said he was happy that Uttarakhand is progressing rapidly. Just yesterday, Uttarakhand became the state in the country that has implemented the Uniform Civil Code.
PM Modi said that India is working hard to host the 2036 Olympics. When Olympics are held in India, it will take Indian sports to new heights.
