
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav described the Simhastha Maha Kumbh 2028 as a significant social event that influences the direction of the society. Earlier, people used to attend the Kumbh Mela with the purpose of societal change. Dr. Yadav mentioned that preparations for the 2028 Simhastha in Ujjain are already underway. H
The state government is focused on preparing for Simhastha Mahakumbh-2028 by initiating development and infrastructure projects. Government will ensure that devotees can take their holy dips in the pure water of the Kshipra River.
Government is working to make the river a perennial, holy stream while maintaining ecological balance. Additionally, CM Dr. Yadav aims to establish Ujjain as a major global religious tourist destination by successfully organizing the Simhastha Kumbh.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized the importance of completing all departmental works on time to ensure the smooth organization of the Simhastha event. He has directed to ensure that the progress of these works be reviewed fortnightly, with senior officers overseeing them personally.
Dr. Yadav has also directed that the tender process for construction and upgrading existing facilities in Ujjain and Indore districts be completed by March 2025, with all necessary infrastructure to be finished by September 2025.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has emphasized on completion of all departmental works within the time limit to ensure smooth conduct of Simhastha event.
Over 15 crore devotees are expected to attend the Simhastha Mahakumbh in Ujjain in 2028. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that the state government plans to study the arrangements at the Kumbhs in Prayagraj and Haridwar and will utilize drone surveys and artificial intelligence for crowd and traffic management during the event.
Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized the importance of coordination between various departments for the effective management of all aspects of Simhastha. This includes upgrading Dharamshalas, improving cleanliness, and enhancing greenery in Ujjain, Indore, and Dewas districts during the construction works.
