The Election Commission on Tuesday announced the dates for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections along with the 48 assembly and 2 parliamentary constituencies.
Elections will be held in Maharashtra in a single phase on November 20 and in Jharkhand in two phases. Voting will be held in the first phase in Jharkhand on November 13 and in the second phase on November 20. The results will be declared on November 23.
By-elections on 48 assembly and 2 Lok Sabha seats will also be held in two phases. Voting for 47 assembly and one Lok Sabha seat will be held on November 13. Voting will be held on one assembly and one Lok Sabha seat on November 20. The results will also be declared on November 23.
The term of Maharashtra Assembly ends on November 26, while the term of Jharkhand Assembly ends on January 5, 2025.
The Election Commission also announced the dates for the by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. Voting for this will be held on November 13.
