Bhopal: A grand celebration was held on Friday at NITTTR, Bhopal, to mark the 150th anniversary of the composition of the national anthem, “Vande Mataram.”
In his emotional address, Institute Director Prof. C.C. Tripathi stated that this song, written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1875, is not just a song, but the soul of India and the inspiration for the freedom struggle.
During the program, he shared with students and staff the historical significance of the song and the message it conveys to strengthen the spirit of patriotism. He stated that “Vande Mataram” is not just a word, but a mantra, a unique energy, a resolve, and a symbol of deep devotion to the nation. This word is deeply rooted in our history, our culture, and our soul. Heartiest congratulations to all of you on this historic occasion of 150 glorious years of Vande Mataram.
Faculty members, officers, staff, and students sang “Vande Mataram” in unison, paying homage to Mother India. An atmosphere of patriotism and pride was reflected in the entire NITTTR campus today.
