The BSSS Institute of Advanced Studies (BSSS-IAS) inaugurated a two-day Management Development Programme (MDP) on the theme “Mastering Personal Finance: Empowering Non-Financial Professionals” under the aegis Managerial Skilling Programme on July 7-8, 2025.
The inaugural session was graced by Pradeep Karambelkar, Executive Director, BNI, Bhopal, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Fr. John P. J., Executive Director of the BSSS Institute of Advanced Studies, inaugurated the programme and delivered the welcome address,
In his speech, he emphasized the growing need for such MDPs to equip professionals from non-finance backgrounds with essential financial literacy and tools for informed decision-making. He highlighted the institute’s commitment to bridging the knowledge gap through practical and industry-relevant programmes.
Pradeep Karambelkar in his keynote address, highlighted the relevance and timeliness of the MDP theme. He stated that in today’s dynamic economic environment, financial awareness is not just a personal necessity but a societal imperative. He appreciated the initiative taken by the Institute and added that empowering professionals with personal finance skills would lead to more financially stable households and contribute positively to the economy.
The two-day programme features expert-led sessions on budgeting, saving and investment strategies, risk management, insurance, taxation, and retirement planning. The programme is being coordinated by Dr. Amit Kumar Nag, Dr. Atul Dubey, and Dr. J. G. Sankar, who have curated a rich and engaging learning experience for the participants.
