Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that a paved all-weather road will be built from Gwalior to Kuno National Park. A tent city will be set up in Kuno. Tourists coming here will be get a golden opportunity to spend time in the lap of nature.
CM Mohan Yadav said that as per the wishes of Union Forest Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav, we will also open an international level veterinary hospital and rescue center in Kuno area. For this, we will also take help from the central government. The operation of the veterinary hospital will help in the treatment of cheetahs of Kuno as well as the cattle in this entire area.
CM said that the state government will explore the immense possibilities inherent in the nature tourism sector of the state. More and more youth and women of the state will be connected to wildlife tourism. Cheetah Mitras and women of women self-help groups will also be made tourist guides. Didi Cafes will be operated from the State Livelihood Development Mission in Kuno area, so that more and more local employment opportunities can be provided to cheetah friends and women.
CM Mohan Yadav said the state government is also making efforts to conserve king cobra, gharial and rare species of turtles.
Union Minister Bhupender Yadav said historical sites near Kuno should be developed for tourism. An old fort could be transformed into a heritage walk destination. Union Minister Yadav emphasized involving women from Self-Help Groups to provide tourist facilities at Kuno and other wildlife destinations. High-quality accommodation, food, and sanitation services are essential to attract domestic and international visitors. With world-class facilities, Kuno National Park and Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary could draw global tourists eager to see cheetahs.
CM Mohan Yadav informed that the government is working in a planned manner for the conservation of king cobra. It is necessary to settle king cobra to control the number of poisonous snakes in the forests of the state. In the first phase, it is being considered to bring 10 king cobras to Madhya Pradesh. CM Yadav directed the forest officials to rehabilitate gharials and turtles from Chambal river in 4 major rivers and reservoirs of the state.

मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव ने कहा है कि ग्वालियर से कूनो राष्ट्रीय उद्यान तक पक्की बारहमासी सड़क बनाई जाएगी। कूनो में टेंट सिटी बनाई जाएगी। यहां आने वाले पर्यटकों को प्रकृति की गोद में समय बिताने का सुनहरा अवसर मिलेगा।
मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. यादव शुक्रवार को समत्व भवन (मुख्यमंत्री निवास) में केंद्रीय पर्यावरण, वन एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्री श्री भूपेंद्र यादव के साथ मध्यप्रदेश में चीता प्रोजेक्ट के क्रियान्वयन संबंधी समीक्षा बैठक को संबोधित कर रहे थे।
अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर का पशु चिकित्सालय और रेस्क्यू सेंटर भी खुलेगा
सीएम मोहन यादव ने कहा कि केंद्रीय वन मंत्री श्री भूपेंद्र यादव की मंशा के अनुरूप हम कूनो क्षेत्र में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर का पशु चिकित्सालय और रेस्क्यू सेंटर भी खोलेंगे। इसके लिए हम केंद्र सरकार से भी मदद लेंगे। पशु चिकित्सालय के संचालन से कूनो के चीतों के साथ-साथ इस पूरे क्षेत्र के मवेशियों के इलाज में मदद मिलेगी।
सीएम ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार प्रदेश के प्रकृति पर्यटन क्षेत्र में निहित अपार संभावनाओं को तलाशेगी। प्रदेश के अधिक से अधिक युवाओं और महिलाओं को वन्य जीव पर्यटन से जोड़ा जाएगा। चीता मित्रों और महिला स्व-सहायता समूहों की महिलाओं को टूरिस्ट गाइड भी बनाया जाएगा।
दीदी कैफे संचालित किए जाएंगे
कूनो क्षेत्र में राज्य आजीविका विकास मिशन से दीदी कैफे संचालित किए जाएंगे, ताकि चीता मित्रों और महिलाओं को अधिक से अधिक स्थानीय रोजगार के अवसर उपलब्ध कराए जा सकें।
किंग कोबरा, घड़ियाल और कछुओं की दुर्लभ प्रजातियों के संरक्षण के लिए भी प्रयास जारी
मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार किंग कोबरा, घड़ियाल और कछुओं की दुर्लभ प्रजातियों के संरक्षण के लिए भी प्रयास कर रही है।
केंद्रीय मंत्री भूपेंद्र यादव ने कहा कि कूनो के पास ऐतिहासिक स्थलों को पर्यटन के लिए विकसित किया जाना चाहिए। एक पुराने किले को हेरिटेज वॉक डेस्टिनेशन में बदला जा सकता है। केंद्रीय मंत्री यादव ने कूनो और अन्य वन्यजीव स्थलों पर पर्यटक सुविधाएं प्रदान करने के लिए स्व-सहायता समूहों की महिलाओं को शामिल करने पर जोर दिया। घरेलू और अंतरराष्ट्रीय आगंतुकों को आकर्षित करने के लिए उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले आवास, भोजन और स्वच्छता सेवाएं आवश्यक हैं।
विश्व स्तरीय सुविधाओं के साथ, कूनो राष्ट्रीय उद्यान और गांधी सागर अभयारण्य दुनिया भर के पर्यटकों को आकर्षित कर सकते हैं। मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव ने बताया कि सरकार किंग कोबरा के संरक्षण के लिए योजनाबद्ध तरीके से काम कर रही है। राज्य के जंगलों में जहरीले सांपों की संख्या को नियंत्रित करने के लिए किंग कोबरा को बसाना जरूरी है। पहले चरण में, 10 किंग कोबरा को मध्य प्रदेश लाने पर विचार किया जा रहा है। सीएम यादव ने वन अधिकारियों को राज्य की 4 प्रमुख नदियों और जलाशयों में चंबल नदी से घड़ियाल और कछुओं को पुनर्वासित करने के निर्देश दिए।
