
The All India Research Conference on the occasion of tercentenary birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai was inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Inder Singh Parmar, Minister – Higher Education, Technical Education and AYUSH Department at NITTTR Bhopal.
Shri Parmar said that Lokmata Ahilyabai herself was a living symbol of Indian knowledge tradition. She dedicated her life to the reconstruction of temples, preservation of religious places, expansion of public education and social welfare. Lokmata Rani Ahilyabai’s vision was nationwide.
Delivering the keynote address at the event, Shri Hemant Muktibodh said that the life of Lokmata Ahilya Bai exemplifies the transformation from a “point to a great personality”. Though Ahilyabai Holkar was not a divine incarnation, she had the talent and qualities of an incarnation.
The program was presided over by Captain Meera Siddharth Dave. In her address, she said that Lokmata Ahilya Bai was the only ruler who received the title of “Punyashlok”. The nation always came first in her eyes. Her life was full of various difficulties but Ahilya Bai Holkar always remained steadfast on her responsibilities.
Director of NITTTR, Prof. C.C. Tripathi said that this conference is not only a platform for academic dialogue, but it is an innovative confluence of our cultural consciousness, historical memory and consciousness of nation building. It is a matter of great joy that more than 125 research papers will be presented in this conference. These research papers have been selected on the basis of quality. A total of 200 people will participate in it.
Prof. P.K. Purohit, Coordinator Organizing Committee said that carrying both ‘Parampara ki Shiksha’ and ‘Shiksha ki Parampara’ together is the basic mantra of India’s education system. This conference is a thoughtful effort to re-understand the life-philosophy of Lokmata Ahilyabai in the current context, to connect her ideals with the new construction of India, and to give a place to the Indian knowledge tradition in a contemporary academic discourse.

In this programme, research papers will be presented on five topics of the concept of Lokmata Ahilyabai: Rashtra Punarvasna – justice and administrative efficiency, public welfare through Panch Parivartan, national awakening through cultural reconstruction, social upliftment through awakening of women’s self-respect, and challenges of social evils and their solutions.
In the first session of the programme, Mrs. Mala Thakur, Mrs. Nivedita Chaturvedi, Mrs. Chinmayi Didi, Mrs. Anaagya Tai and Captain Meera Siddharth Dave gave detailed lectures on the above five topics. From the collaborating institutions of the conference, their Vice Chancellor Mr. Sanjay Tiwari, Vice Chancellor – Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, Mr. Vijay Manohar Tiwari, Vice Chancellor – Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Journalism and Communication University, Prof. Baijnath Labh, Vice Chancellor – Sanchi Buddhist Indian Studies University, Shri Khem Singh Dehariya, Vice Chancellor – Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University, Shri Suresh Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor – Barkatullah University, Shri Surendra Mishra – Purusharth Seva Foundation and other reputed people were present.
