Different types of gardens have been developed in the Van Mandir. The forests and gardens built in it are Arogya Van, Rashi Van, Nav Graha, Nakshatra Van, Rock Garden, Sapt Rishi Van and Panchvati Van.
This forest temple spans 18 acres and includes plantings representative of the zodiac, planets, and constellations. The Van Mandir features impressive 3D paintings and posters depicting a variety of animals, including butterflies, lions, elephants, and bears. The design is thoughtfully crafted, making it feel as though the animals are introducing themselves.
To promote children‘s education, slogans are presented in simple and accessible language, ensuring that future generations can gain knowledge. According to officials from the Dantewada Forest Department, this is the first Van Mandir of its kind in the country, aimed at educating the public and raising awareness about health.
Another highlight of the Van Mandir is its rock garden, which is uniquely constructed using stones from the Indravati River and iron stones sourced from NMDC.
Additionally, a café offering traditional Bastariya cuisine has been established within the Van Mandir, allowing visitors to savor the delightful flavors of Bastar.
