Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav lauded the contributions of local artists in preserving the state’s rich culture and heritage during his visit to the Pancharanya Haat Bazaar in Pachmarhi. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized, “Artists are our true assets, and protecting their interests remains a priority for the government.”
The CM was warmly welcomed by local artists through a traditional Rai dance performance. Deeply impressed by a captivating flute recital, he announced an incentive of Rs 10,000 each for the 10 performers.
At the event, Dr. Yadav savored tomato soup from a chaat stall run by Rinki and Sunil Sharma and rewarded them with cash prizes. He also explored exhibitions and stalls showcasing local crafts and art products.
Demonstrating his interest in traditional art, the CM Mohan Yadav tried his hand at a clay wheel and appreciated the bell-metal products on display.
Dr. Yadav took time to interact with the artists, inquiring about their well-being and extending his best wishes.
Later, the Chief Minister enjoyed the “Sound and Light Show” and a mesmerizing performance by the Army Band. Recognizing their talent and dedication, he announced Rs 10,000 incentives for each band member. As a gesture of gratitude, the state government will also host the band members and their families for a three-day stay at an MPT hotel.
The event highlighted the government’s commitment to nurturing local talent and honoring cultural heritage.
Earlier, CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated MPT Amaltas Hotel in Pachmarhi, which is the first hotel run solely by women.
