Diwali, the festival of lights, is a time for unity, joy, and vibrant celebrations. This year, Sony SAB’s beloved stars have taken the festive spirit beyond their screens to share in the cheer on set. Given their packed shooting schedules, these actors find warmth and festivity with their co-stars and crew, embodying the essence of Diwali even while away from home.
Prachi Bansal, who portrays Sita in Shrimad Ramayan, will miss celebrating Diwali with her family for the first time. Despite the initial disappointment, she’s found joy in a unique experience that brings new meaning to the festival.
She added, “It’s a privilege to be part of such a grand celebration in Ayodhya. Although I’m away from my family, the spirit of togetherness stays strong with our on-set family.”
Prachi shared, “I’ve always celebrated Diwali with my family, so this year feels different as I won’t be with them. However, I feel truly blessed as I’ll be celebrating Diwali in Ayodhya with my co-stars Sujay Reu, who plays Lord Ram, and Basant Bhatt, who plays Laxman.”
For Sujay Reu, who takes on the role of Lord Ram, celebrating Diwali away from home has become part of his journey as an actor. But this year, it holds special significance as he celebrates it in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram.
“As actors, we often miss celebrating festivals with our families, especially during outdoor shoots. But our on-set team becomes like family, and we celebrate together,” Sujay said. “This Diwali is particularly special for me as I’m playing Shri Ram and will be visiting Ayodhya.”
Sujay described the experience as “divine,” expressing gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate with devotees in Ayodhya. “While I’m away from home, the warmth and joy of my on-set family make this experience unforgettable. Celebrating Diwali in Ayodhya with the devotees is a grand occasion, and it’s truly an honor to be part of it. This is a memory I will cherish forever,” he added.
By celebrating together on set, these actors capture the true spirit of Diwali—a festival that transcends location, bringing joy, unity, and light wherever it is celebrated.
