Renowned Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji today celebrated World Rose Day with children battling cancer.
Rani Mukerji celebrated Rose Day with children battling cancer at an emotional event organised by Cancer Patients Aid Association, an organisation that helps cancer patients. Rani Mukerji supported this important cause by distributing roses and gifts to the children.
During the event, Rani interacted with the children, encouraged them and boosted their morale. The highlight of the event was an open bus ride with the children on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, which was lit up with red lights in honour of cancer-affected people.
Rani and the children together released red and white balloons into the sky, creating a special moment of solidarity. The initiative not only brought joy to the children but also raised awareness for people fighting cancer.
Rani Mukerji said, “The kids looked so cute in Rose Day T-shirts and matching caps. I am so happy to spend time with you all. Thank you so much for inviting me here. You all are like little angels. I want to tell all the parents here that without your support your children would not have been able to fight this battle. I salute you all. Please stay strong for your children. I am also a mother and understand that only our love and support can give our children the strength to win this battle. My prayers are with all of you, and I am extremely grateful to be here, especially with these amazing children. I feel so overwhelmed and humbled. Thank you once again for inviting me here and making my day special.”
World Rose Day is celebrated every year on September 22 to raise awareness about cancer and to show solidarity with cancer victims and their families. This important day was started in 2000 by 12-year-old Melinda Rose who bravely battled terminal cancer.
