Bhopal: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Bhopal recently organized a homecoming event to welcome back one of its distinguished alumni, Abhijit Banik. A successful entrepreneur, brand consultant, and creative director, Abhijit Banik has made a significant mark in the industry. During the session, he shared his invaluable insights, experiences, and entrepreneurial journey with the current students and faculty of NIFT Bhopal.
Banik, who graduated from NIFT Bhopal’s Textiles Department in 2012, spoke about his inspiring journey of building a successful business from the ground up. He highlighted the various challenges he faced, the risks he took, and the lessons learned throughout his career. His story resonated with the students, offering them a glimpse into the realities of entrepreneurship and the resilience required to thrive in the industry.
During his address, Banik underscored the importance of innovation, risk-taking, and adaptability as key drivers of success in the fashion and creative industries. He also discussed emerging trends and technologies that are reshaping the field, providing the students with valuable insights into what the future holds.

Reflecting on the session, Suhani, a student from the Fashion Communication Department at NIFT Bhopal, expressed her pride in her institution’s efforts to foster meaningful connections with its alumni.
She stated, “I feel very proud that our college, NIFT, gives us the opportunity to interact with our alumni who have been working in the industry for many years and to understand more about the industry. Today’s guest, Abhijit Banik, gave us advice and encouraged us about the future like an elder brother.”
