Drawn by the pleasant change in weather and the holiday, visitors flocked to immerse themselves in the lap of nature. During this time, 1,704 tourists visited the Nahargarh Biological Park, observing the wildlife up close.

Throughout the day, the Lion Safari and Tiger Safari remained the primary attractions for visitors. A total of 216 tourists each experienced the thrill of both safaris; they were delighted to witness the playful antics of the lion, the white tiger ‘Bhim’, and his golden sister, the tigress ‘Skandhi’. The roars of the tigers and the majestic demeanor of the lions left the tourists spellbound.

Nahargarh Biological Park has become home to Rajasthan’s first-ever White Tiger Safari. The two main safaris operating within the park—the ‘Tiger Safari’ and the ‘Lion Safari’—have currently become a major draw for the residents of Jaipur as well as tourists visiting from outside the city.

This unique blend of natural greenery and wildlife, situated right in the heart of the city, offers people an unparalleled experience of family outings and adventure. Visitors were left awestruck upon spotting the white tiger during the safari.

Rathore further explained that the white tiger ‘Bhim’ and the golden tigress ‘Skandhi’ have been relocated to the Tiger Safari zone. Since Sunday, they have been released into the safari area for public viewing; previously, their playful antics could only be observed within the confines of the biological park itself, but now they will bring life and vibrancy to the safari zone.

Thanks to the continuous monitoring and effective management by the Forest Department, Nahargarh Biological Park has today established itself as one of the most popular wildlife tourism destinations in the state. It is not only a symbol of environmental conservation but has also become a hub for educational and entertaining experiences for tourists.

He will also hold one-on-one meetings with CEOs, investors and global industry leaders to discuss strategic investment opportunities and the prospects for long-term collaboration in Madhya Pradesh.

The Madhya Pradesh Department of Science and Technology is participating as a Silver State Partner at the TiE Global Summit 2026. This partnership is in line with the memorandum of understanding signed with The Indus Entrepreneurs Rajasthan during the MP Tech Growth Conclave 2.0 held on 27 November 2025.

Themed “MAHASAGAR”, this year’s edition embodied the Indian Navy’s spirit of exploration, excellence, and commitment to nurturing maritime consciousness amongst the youth. From thousands of participants across the country, 16 schools representing the North, South, East, and West Zones qualified for the semi-finals.

The top eight teams advanced to the Grand Finale, competing for the prestigious THINQ-25 Trophy in a spirited contest of intellect, teamwork, and curiosity.

The finalists were – Jayshree Periwal High School – Jaipur, Bharatiya vidya bhavan – Kannur, Subodh Public School – Jaipur, Shiksha Niketan – Jamshedpur, Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School – Chennai, Cambridge Court High School – Jaipur, Dr Virendra Swarup Education Centre – Kanpur, PM Shri JNV – Samastipur.

Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur emerged as Champions, while PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Samastipur secured the Runners-Up position, bringing THINQ 25 to a fitting and inspiring closure.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief of the Naval Staff commended the young participants for their enthusiasm, awareness, and deep understanding of India’s maritime legacy. He emphasised the importance of cultivating curiosity and encouraging innovation among the youth – qualities that will shape the maritime leaders and thinkers of tomorrow.

The Grand Finale was live-streamed on the Indian Navy’s official YouTube and Facebook page, drawing enthusiastic participation and viewership from schools, Naval establishments, and maritime enthusiasts across the Nation.

The LPG tanker, on way from Ajmer to Jaipur, was taking a U-turn near Delhi Public School at about 5:45 a.m. when a truck traveling from Jaipur struck it. The collision caused severe damage to the tanker’s nozzles, leading to leak of large amount of LPG gas. The leaked LPG ignited, transforming the surrounding area into a fireball.

The resulting inferno engulfed over 40 vehicles parked or moving in the vicinity. Tragically, many people could not escape the flames in time.

A sleeper bus carrying 34 passengers, which was directly behind the tanker, was completely gutted, leaving only its iron frame. Many passengers suffered critical burns. A pipe factory located along the highway also fell victim to the fire, exacerbating the destruction.

Emergency responders, including more than 30 ambulances and fire brigade units, arrived quickly. However, rescue operations were hampered due to the spread of gas and the intensity of the flames. The injured were rushed to Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur for treatment.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) officials confirmed that the tanker was carrying 18 tonnes of LPG gas. The collision broke five of its nozzles, causing the gas to escape in liquid form and ignite.

GAIL India Limited’s DGM (Fire and Safety), Sushant Kumar Singh, stated that the incident occurred just 100 meters from a crude oil pipeline belonging to GAIL. He said that the initial spark from the collision likely ignited the leaked LPG. The severity of the explosion was such that its sound was heard from a significant distance, and flames were visible for miles.

The explosion caused widespread panic in the surrounding area. Local residents reported difficulties in reaching the trapped victims due to the intense flames and the overpowering smell of gas. The belongings of the deceased and injured were scattered across the highway, painting a grim picture of the accident’s impact.

Traffic on the Ajmer Highway has been halted, and officials have cordoned off the area to prevent further casualties. Despite the chaos, the local administration is urging people to stay away from the accident site for safety reasons.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the site to oversee the rescue operations and expressed condolences to the victims’ families. He directed officials to expedite relief measures and ensure the injured receive prompt medical attention.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause and full impact of the gas leakage and explosion. Officials are also assessing the extent of damage and the factors that contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that NITs were established to promote quality technical education and research in the country. They are playing a major role in providing skilled and capable human resources. Given the importance of NITs, they have been given the status of ‘Institutions of National Importance‘.

The President said that half the students in the NITs come from the home state while the other half come from other states based on the India ranking. Thus, while on the one hand, this system allows local talent to flourish, on the other hand, it also works to strengthen the country’s ‘spirit of unity in diversity’.

The President said that technical institutes like NITs play an important role in making India a research and innovation hub. She was happy to note that the Innovation and Incubation Centre established in MNIT has organised many start-up programmes so far, which have benefited a large number of participants. About 125 start-ups have been registered in the Incubation Centre of MNIT, which are also creating new employment opportunities.

President Murmu said that in this era of the fourth industrial revolution, along with challenges, new opportunities are also coming. The role of our technical institutions is very important in taking advantage of these opportunities and making India a leading nation in the field of technology. She stated that the establishment of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering in MNIT reflects its commitment to adapt itself to the demands of the times.

The President was happy to note that MNIT has secured a position in the top 50 institutes of the country in the ‘Engineering category’ of NIRF’s India Rankings 2024. She expressed confidence that the faculty, students and staff of MNIT will work harder and bring MNIT into the top 10 institutes of the country.

The President said that greater participation of women in the field of R&D is important not only for the social and economic development of the country but also for improving the quality of life of our daughters. She noted that the enrollment of girls in STEMM has increased in recent years.

Murmu was happy to note that, in this convocation, out of the 20 gold medals, 12 gold medals have been won by female students, even though only about 29 per cent are girls among the total graduating students. She said that this proportion of girls among medal winners is evidence that if they are given equal opportunities, they can achieve greater excellence.
