The seven-day Rashtriya Swadeshi Mela organized by Akhil Bharatiya Swadeshi Sangh began on Monday at Bittan Market Dussehra Ground. The fair will be open for people to visit and trade from 2 pm to 11 pm.
Neelu Jain from Ahmedabad, Gujarat has also set up stall number 26 in the Swadeshi Mela. Despite being an 80% physically challenged woman, Neelu is engaged in self-employment with self-reliance and positivity. Neelu is a talented artisan and has set up a stall of handmade suits, kurtis and dupattas in the fair.
Sushil Kumar, President of Paryavaran Sanskriti Sanrakshan evam Manav Kalyan Trust, said that this type of National Swadeshi Mela Mahotsav is being organized to promote the work of PM Narendra Modi and CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s campaign of Vocal for Local. Neelu has been visiting different states for the last 3 years and setting up stalls in exhibitions and selling her products.
Earlier Neelu used to sell only online. Neelu’s products were also available on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram WhatsApp group. Now Vocal for Local Swadeshi Mela is providing self-employment opportunities by setting up stalls in different states of the country at nominal fees and also providing a good opportunity to understand the choice and demand of various buyers by meeting them directly.
Stalls of cottage industry, small scale industry, startup, MSME, handicrafts, handloom, unique and luxury consumer goods of Indian companies, home decor clothes, etc. have been set up in the fair. Different exhibitions based on public relations, archaeology, tourism, culture, complete natural farming and government schemes, etc. are being liked by the people in the fair.

अखिल भारतीय स्वदेशी संघ की ओर से सात दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय स्वदेशी मेला बिट्टन मार्केट दशहरा मैदान पर सोमवार से शुरू हो चुका हैं। मेला दोपहर 2 से रात 11 बजे तक लोगों के भ्रमण एवं व्यापार के लिए खुला रहेगा।
अहमदाबाद, गुजरात से आई नीलू जैन का भी स्वदेशी मेले में स्टाल नंबर 26 लगा है , 80% शारीरिक रूप से विकलांग महिला होने के बाद भी नीलू आत्मनिर्भरता और सकारात्मकता के साथ स्वरोजगार में लगी हुई है। नीलू एक आर्टिज़न है और खुद के बनाए हुए हैंडवर्क सूट,कुर्ती और दुपट्टे का स्टाल मेले में लगाया है।
पर्यावरण संस्कृति संरक्षण एवं मानव कल्याण ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष सुशील कुमार ने बताया कि इस प्रकार के राष्ट्रीय स्वदेशी मेला महोत्सव का आयोजन प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी और मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. मोहन यादव के वोकल फॉर लोकल के अभियान के कार्यों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए किया जा रहा है। जिसकी सहायता से नीलू पिछले 3 वर्षों से अलग-अलग राज्यों में जाकर एग्जीबिशन में स्टॉल लगाती है और अपने प्रोडक्ट्स बेचती है।
इससे पहले नीलू केवल ऑनलाइन सेल करती थी। फेसबुक और इंस्टाग्राम व्हाट्सएप ग्रुप जैसे सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर भी नीलू के प्रोडक्ट्स उपलब्ध थे। अब वोकल फॉर लोकल स्वदेशी मेले से देश के विभिन्न राज्यों में नाम मात्र शुल्क पर ही स्टॉल लगाकर स्वरोजगार के अवसर मिल रहे हैं और विभिन्न क्रेताओं से प्रत्यक्ष भेंट कर उनकी पसंद और मांग को समझने का भी अच्छा मौका मिल रहा है।
मेले में गृह उद्योग , लघु उद्योग, स्टार्टअप, एमएसएमई, हस्तशिल्प, हथकरघा, भारतीय कंपनियों के यूनिक और लक्जरी उपभोक्ता वस्तुएं, गृहसज्जा के वस्त्र ,आदि के स्टॉल लगेंगे। मेले में जनसंपर्क, पुरातत्व, पर्यटन, संस्कृति, संपूर्ण प्राकृतिक खेती एवं सरकारी योजनाओं, इत्यादि पर आधारित अलग-अलग प्रदर्शनियां लोगों द्बारा पसन्द की जा रही है।
