The ED i.e. Enforcement Directorate has raided the house of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and MLA Bhupesh Baghel. On Monday morning, ED officials reached Bhupesh Baghel’s house in Padumnagar, Bhilai in several vehicles.
Apart from Bhupesh Baghel, the Enforcement Directorate has conducted raids in at least 14 places. These include many industrialists as well.
Meanwhile, after this raid, his office has posted a post from Bhupesh Baghel’s x handle.
The post said, “When the false case going on for seven years was dismissed in the court, today the guests of the ED have entered the Bhilai residence of former Chief Minister, Congress General Secretary Bhupesh Baghel this morning.”
“If someone is trying to stop the Congress in Punjab with this conspiracy, then it is a misunderstanding.”
It is worth noting that Bhupesh Baghel has recently been made in-charge of Punjab by the Congress party.
The Enforcement Directorate is investigating the cases related to the alleged liquor scam, coal levy scam and online Satta Mahadev app in Chhattisgarh.
Many close officers and leaders of Bhupesh Baghel, associated with these three alleged scams that took place during his tenure, have been in jail for more than two years.
The Enforcement Directorate has on several occasions spoken about Bhupesh Baghel’s role in these alleged scams. Several rounds of questioning have been done with Bhupesh Baghel’s family and close people in this regard, but this is the first time that a raid has been conducted at his house.
Actually, a year ago, in the Mahadev Satta app case, the EOW (Economic Research Wing) had filed an FIR against 21 accused including former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on the complaint of ED. It also includes the names of app promoter Saurabh Chandrakar, Ravi Uppal and many unknown police officers and businessmen. At that time, Baghel had called it a political conspiracy.
Chhattisgarh Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla said that, at the behest of BJP, ED has reached the Bhilai residence of Congress national general secretary and former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
A large number of Congress workers and supporters are present outside Bhupesh Baghel’s house in Padumnagar, Bhilai. All of them are protesting against the action of ED. According to Congress workers, the Home Minister of the state is surrounded by questions, he is not able to answer any questions in the assembly. Therefore, ED is being misused against Bhupesh Baghel.
छत्तीसगढ़ के पूर्व सीएम भूपेश बघेल और उनके करीबी सहयोगियों के आवास पर ईडी ने छापा मारा
प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) ने छत्तीसगढ़ के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और विधायक भूपेश बघेल के आवास पर छापा मारा है। सोमवार सुबह ईडी के अधिकारी कई वाहनों में सवार होकर भिलाई के पदुमनगर स्थित बघेल के घर पहुंचे।
बघेल के आवास के अलावा ईडी ने कई उद्योगपतियों के परिसरों समेत कम से कम 14 अन्य ठिकानों पर छापेमारी की है।
छापे के बाद भूपेश बघेल के कार्यालय ने अपने एक्स हैंडल पर एक पोस्ट शेयर की, जिसमें लिखा था, “जब सात साल से चल रहा झूठा मामला कोर्ट में खारिज हो गया, तो आज सुबह ईडी के मेहमान पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री, कांग्रेस महासचिव भूपेश बघेल के भिलाई आवास में घुस आए हैं।”
पोस्ट में आगे लिखा गया, “अगर कोई इस साजिश के जरिए पंजाब में कांग्रेस को रोकने की कोशिश कर रहा है, तो यह गलतफहमी है।”
गौरतलब है कि भूपेश बघेल को हाल ही में कांग्रेस पार्टी ने पंजाब का प्रभारी नियुक्त किया है।
प्रवर्तन निदेशालय छत्तीसगढ़ में कथित शराब घोटाले, कोयला लेवी घोटाले और ऑनलाइन सट्टा महादेव ऐप से जुड़े मामलों की जांच कर रहा है। इन कथित घोटालों को लेकर भूपेश बघेल से जुड़े कई करीबी सहयोगी और नेता दो साल से अधिक समय से जेल में हैं। ईडी ने पहले भी इन कथित घोटालों में भूपेश बघेल की संलिप्तता पर टिप्पणी की है।
बघेल के परिवार और करीबी सहयोगियों से कई दौर की पूछताछ हो चुकी है, लेकिन उनके आवास पर यह पहली छापेमारी है।
करीब एक साल पहले महादेव सट्टा ऐप मामले में आर्थिक अपराध शाखा (ईओडब्ल्यू) ने ईडी की शिकायत के आधार पर पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल समेत 21 लोगों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज की थी। इस सूची में ऐप प्रमोटर सौरभ चंद्राकर, रवि उप्पल और कई अज्ञात पुलिस अधिकारी और कारोबारी शामिल थे।
उस समय बघेल ने आरोपों को राजनीतिक साजिश करार दिया था। छत्तीसगढ़ कांग्रेस के प्रवक्ता सुशील आनंद शुक्ला ने दावा किया कि ईडी की कार्रवाई भाजपा से प्रभावित है। उन्होंने कहा कि एजेंसी कांग्रेस के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल के भिलाई स्थित आवास पर पहुंची है।
ईडी की कार्रवाई के विरोध में कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं और समर्थकों की एक बड़ी संख्या भिलाई के पदुमनगर में बघेल के घर के बाहर जमा हो गई है। कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं के अनुसार, राज्य के गृह मंत्री जांच का सामना कर रहे हैं और विधानसभा में सवालों का जवाब नहीं दे पा रहे हैं। इससे यह संकेत मिलता है कि भूपेश बघेल के खिलाफ ईडी का दुरुपयोग किया जा रहा है।
