Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the 9th Tiger Reserve of Madhya Pradesh on March 10. On this historic occasion, he will release a tiger and a tigress into the reserve. Additionally, CM Mohan Yadav will inaugurate a 13-kilometer-long stone safety wall built to protect the reserve. He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for granting Madhav National Park the distinction of being the country’s 58th and Madhya Pradesh’s 9th tiger reserve.
CM Mohan Yadav stated that the establishment of a tiger reserve will enhance wildlife conservation and take tourism to new heights. He emphasized that this is a significant achievement for Madhya Pradesh in the field of wildlife conservation.
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted that Madhav National Park holds great historical and natural importance, and its designation as a tiger reserve will further strengthen collaborative efforts for wildlife preservation. With this declaration, Shivpuri-based Madhav National Park has officially become the 9th tiger reserve of the state.
Prime Minister Modi posted on social media ‘X’ on Sunday that a wonderful news has been received for wildlife lovers. India is blessed with wildlife diversity and a culture that protects wildlife. We will always be at the forefront in protecting our wildlife and contributing to sustaining life in a constantly developing planet.
The reserved forest area of Madhav Tiger Reserve is 32429.52 hectares, the protected forest area is 2422 hectares, and the revenue area is 2671.824 hectares. Thus, the total area is 37523.344 hectares or 375.233 sq. km.
The total number of tigers in the Tiger Reserve is 5. It includes 2 males and 3 females. The tigress has given birth to 2 cubs, whose age is about 8 to 9 months. With the release of two more tigers on Monday, March 10, the total number of tigers in the Tiger Reserve will increase to 7.
मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. मोहन यादव 10 मार्च को मध्यप्रदेश के 9वें टाइगर रिजर्व का शुभारंभ करेंगे। वे इस ऐतिहासिक अवसर पर एक बाघ एवं एक बाघिन को टाइगर रिजर्व में छोड़ेंगे।
मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. यादव टाइगर रिजर्व की 13 किलोमीटर लम्बी पत्थर की सेफ्टी वॉल का भी उद्घाटन करेंगे। डॉ. यादव ने प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी का माधव राष्ट्रीय उद्यान को देश के 58वें और मध्यप्रदेश के 9वें टाइगर रिजर्व की सौगात प्रदान करने पर आभार जताया है।
डॉ. यादव ने कहा कि टाइगर रिजर्व बनने से वन्य-जीव संरक्षण को बढ़ावा मिलेगा और पर्यटन को नई ऊँचाई मिलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि यह मध्यप्रदेश को वन्य-जीव संरक्षण क्षेत्र में मिली एक बड़ी उपलब्धि है।
डॉ. मोहन यादव ने कहा कि माधव राष्ट्रीय उद्यान ऐतिहासिक और प्राकृतिक दृष्टि से बेहद समृद्ध है। टाइगर रिजर्व घोषित होने से वन्य-जीवों के संरक्षण के साझा प्रयासों को और अधिक मजबूती मिलेगी। शिवपुरी स्थित माधव नेशनल पार्क अब प्रदेश का 9वां टाइगर रिजर्व बन गया है।
देश के 58वें और प्रदेश के 9वें टाइगर रिजर्व पर जताई प्रसन्नता
प्रधानमंत्री श्री मोदी ने रविवार को सोशल मीडिया ‘एक्स’ पर पोस्ट किया कि वन्य जीव प्रेमियों के लिए एक आश्चर्यजनक समाचार प्राप्त हुआ है। भारत वन्य जीव विविधता और वन्यजीवों के संरक्षण करने वाली संस्कृति से धन्य है। हम हमेशा हमारे वन्य प्राणियों की रक्षा करने और एक सतत् विकासशील ग्रह में जीवन कायम रखने में योगदान देने में सबसे आगे रहेंगे।
375 से अधिक वर्ग कि.मी. में फैला है टाइगर रिजर्व
माधव टाइगर रिजर्व का आरक्षित वन क्षेत्र 32429.52 हेक्टेयर, संरक्षित वन क्षेत्र 2422.00 हेक्टेयर और राजस्व क्षेत्र 2671.824 हेक्टेयर है। इस प्रकार कुल क्षेत्र 37523.344 हेक्टेयर अथवा 375.233 वर्ग किलोमीटर है।
टाइगर रिजर्व में अब बाघों की संख्या 7 हो जायेगी
टाइगर रिजर्व में कुल बाघों की संख्या 5 है। इसमें 2 नर और 3 मादा शामिल हैं। बाघिन ने 2 शावकों को जन्म दिया है, जिनकी उम्र लगभग 8 से 9 माह है। सोमवार 10 मार्च को दो बाघ और छोड़े जाने से टाइगर रिजर्व में कुल बाघों की संख्या 7 हो जायेगी।
