Teachers should be sensitive towards students. Not only teachers evaluate students but society also evaluates teachers. A student at school level trusts his teacher more than his parents, but what happens that this trust diminishes by the time he reaches college? The teacher will have to live up to the expectations of students and parents.
These views were expressed by Prof. C.C. Tripathi, Director, NITTTR Bhopal. He was addressing the 12-day special training program organized for Assistant Professors of the Higher Education Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Giving many interesting examples, he appealed to the teachers to focus on capacity building along with qualification building of the students and motivate the students for vocational education. This will enable students to move towards vocation with full confidence instead of employment.
In order to adopt outcome-based education (OBE) in accordance with the rapidly changing scenario of higher education and NEP 2020, it is necessary for teachers to remain updated with continuous professional development and emerging educational strategies.
Dean Corporate and International Relations of NITTTR Bhopal, Prof. PK Purohit, while highlighting the objective of this program, said that in the coming time, NITTTR Bhopal will provide continuous training to the teachers of Higher Education Department to empower them in the field of teaching-learning, so that they can provide better guidance to the students.
OSD Higher Education Dr. Azad Ahmed Mansoori expressed his gratitude to NITTTR Bhopal and said that such training programs will help teachers to think from a new perspective and prepare students for future challenges. Dr. Bashirullah Sheikh and Dr. Hussain Jivakhan of NITTTR Bhopal were present on this occasion. The program was conducted by Mrs. Babli Chaturvedi.
