Jaipur: Bhajan Lal government has closed 450 government schools including 190 primary schools and 260 secondary schools recently.
Among the schools closed by Bhajan Lal government, a girls school located near the house of BJP MLA Anshuman Singh Bhati in Bikaner has also been closed. This school has been closed and merged with the boys school. Local people have raised their voice against this decision, because about 300 girl students were studying in the closed school.
14 senior secondary schools are also among the 260 closed secondary schools. The enrollment of children in these schools was very low, so these schools have been closed and merged with other nearby schools. These include schools from Jaipur, Ajmer, Pali, Beawar, Bikaner, Hanumangarh, Udaipur and Jodhpur,
Rajasthan Pradesh Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara attacked the BJP today. Dotasara said that the BJP government always works to close schools. Dotasara wrote on his social media account X that instead of improving, innovating and expanding the education system, the BJP government always works to close schools. The previous Congress government did not close a single girl’s school in the state, whereas the BJP government has closed 450 schools in 1 year.
Dotasara wrote that under the RSS agenda, it has also been their intention to deprive the children of the poor, weak and oppressed from the right to education and to re-establish Adarsh Vidya Mandir schools.
Dotasara wrote that instead of a strong education system, the government schools of the state are being pushed into the abyss. Low enrollment, closing schools, stopping the appointment of teachers, reviewing English education, not releasing budget for infrastructure, not providing uniforms to students, not organizing annual celebrations in schools and depriving excellent students from getting rewards have become the new policy of the BJP government.
On the other hand, Education Minister Madan Dilawar said that in the Congress government, schools were opened without much consideration only to win the elections. There were neither children nor teachers in these schools. The future of children was getting affected in such schools. Some schools have been closed and some have been merged with other schools for better education of children. Three schools were being run in the same campus, so the work of merging the three schools into one has been done so that children can get better education.
