Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will participate in the International Gita Mahotsav being organised in Ujjain. The state-level event will be held at the Ujjain Dussehra Maidan from 1 to 3 December under the joint auspices of the Departments of Culture, Public Relations, Higher Education, Prisons, Krishna Pathey Nyas and the District Administration.
On Monday at 9 a.m., the 15th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita will be recited melodiously in the presence of revered scholars of the Krishna tradition. Simultaneous Gita recitations will also be held at all divisional, district, and block headquarters across the state.
On Monday, 1 December, at 7 p.m., the acclaimed dance-drama “Jai Shri Krishna – Gita Saar”, directed by noted artist Puneet Issar, will be staged at Dussehra Maidan.
On Tuesday, 2 December, at 7 p.m., Sushri Vaishvik Sharma from New Delhi will present ‘Viratjayi – Kavya Presentation’. This will be followed by the staging of the dance-drama ‘Krishnayan’, directed by Mohit Shewani.
On Wednesday, 3 December, at 7 p.m., the play ‘Vishwanvandaniya’ will be performed. The concept and script are by Dr. Venus Tarkaswar, with music composing and direction by Umesh Tarkaswar. The evening will also feature a Bharatanatyam performance by Shweta Devendra, Kathak by Sushri Kshama Malviya and Mohiniyattam by Sushri Kavita Shaji. Shri Salauddin Pasha will present the production ‘Gita on Wheels’.
An exhibition titled ‘Madhav Darshanam’ featuring miniature painting styles will also be showcased during the Mahotsav. Entry to the festival will be completely free of charge.
