Narayan Seva Sansthan, a nationally awarded NGO dedicated to the service of the differently-abled, will organize a large-scale free camp for individuals with disabilities from across Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, May 25, at Guru Amardas Banquet Hall, near Choithram Hospital, Indore.
The organization’s Media and Public Relations Director, Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, stated that Narayan Seva Sansthan is committed to selfless service by helping those who have lost limbs due to accidents or illness, freeing them from the painful challenges of disability. Inspired by its Padma Shri awardee founder Kailash ‘Manav ’, the organization has been serving humanity for the past 40 years.
With a mission to support differently-abled individuals in Madhya Pradesh, the Free Disability Correction Surgery Selection and Narayan Limb Measurement Camp will run from 8 AM to 5 PM on Sunday, May 25, at Guru Amardas Banquet Hall.
During the press conference, Director Gaur shared that the Sansthan provided a new lease on life to 766 differently-abled people last year, and now the second such free camp is being organized. Experienced orthotists and prosthetic doctors from the Sansthan will assess the patients. Proper casting will be done for high-quality, lightweight, and durable Narayan Limbs, and measurements will be taken.
Based on these measurements, a Modular Artificial Limb Distribution Camp will be organized approximately two months later, where the limbs will be provided and fitted free of cost. Additionally, eligible patients will be selected by the Sansthan’s surgeons for free corrective surgeries, which will be performed at the organization’s hospital in Udaipur.
Ashram In-charge Jaswant Menaria shared that free meals, tea, and snacks will be provided to patients and their family members attending the camp. The Sansthan has also invited respected citizens and ministers of Indore to grace the occasion.
During the announcement, Patron Paras Kataria, Director Gaur, Camp Coordinator Hari Prasad Laddha, Camp In-charge Ramesh Sharma, and Ashram In-charge released the official poster of the camp.
Director Gaur urged maximum participation from differently-abled persons and advised them to bring their Aadhaar card, disability certificate, and two recent photographs showing their disability. For more details, interested participants can contact the Sansthan’s helpline at 7023509999.
Patron Kataria said that such camps would continue to be organized across Madhya Pradesh through the Sansthan’s efforts, bringing a new beginning to thousands of differently-abled individuals — an inspiration for continued service.
Founded in 1985, Narayan Seva Sansthan has been working with the philosophy of “Service to Humanity is Service to God.” Its founder, Kailash Manav, was honored with the Padma Shri by the President of India for his humanitarian contributions. Under the leadership of President Prashant Agarwal, the organization has empowered lakhs of differently-abled individuals through medical support, education, skill development, and a sports academy, integrating them into the mainstream of society.
In 2023, Agarwal received the National Award from the President of India. To date, the Sansthan has provided over 40,000 artificial limbs, and now it is undertaking large-scale initiatives to provide free artificial limbs to the differently-abled in Madhya Pradesh, helping them restart their paused lives.
