As per the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, special facilities have been created in the zoo for breeding of King Cobra for snake conservation for better eco-system. Till now there was a female king cobra in the zoological museum, now with the arrival of male king cobra, breeding will be possible naturally which will prove beneficial for the eco system.
King cobra is known for its length, poison and unique behavior. It is the longest poisonous snake in the world, which can be up to 18 feet long. King cobra is considered to be one of the most intelligent snakes, because it changes its hunting strategy according to the circumstances. Female king cobras are different from other snakes because they make a nest and hatch eggs.
King cobras are beneficial for biodiversity and eco system and are called friends of farmers.
