The grand opening ceremony of the 72nd Miss World 2025 competition was held on Sunday, 11 May evening at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. This grand event started in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Amid the grand celebration, it was Miss India World 2023, Nandini Gupta, who truly stole the spotlight. As the host announced “India,” all eyes turned to Nandini, whose exquisite traditional attire immediately drew admiration and sparked curiosity across the globe.
Miss World Limited Chairperson and CEO Julia Morley CBE and current Miss World Christina Pyszkova also attended this grand event. Nandini Gupta entered the Miss India 2025 program representing India with the tricolor in her hand and won the hearts of the audience.
After this, the participants of all the countries paraded on the stage with their respective national flags. The program started with the echo of the Telangana state song “Jai Jai He Telangana”, after which the spectacular Perini dance brought the stage alive. However, the most special thing about this ceremony was that the costumes of the participants were very unique and their fabulous costumes were reflecting the cultural heritage of their countries. The shine in their costumes, the fine hand embroidery and design mesmerized the audience. It was a parade in which a glimpse of national pride, cultural identity was seen. At the same time, the participants stepped on the stage in a royal style and turned this world beauty contest into a vibrant cultural festival.
On this occasion, many participants of Miss World 2025 praised the hospitality of Hyderabad. They said that Chowmahalla Palace is a wonderful place. The hospitality of Telangana has made us emotional. This experience will remain in our lifelong memories.
