
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav said that Janapav, located near Mhow in Indore district, is the revered birthplace of Lord Shri Parashuram—one of the seven immortals of Sanatan culture. He described Janapav as a sacred and unique site on the land of India.
Recalling Lord Parashuram’s legacy, CM Mohan Yadav said that whenever adharma prevailed on Earth, Lord Parashuram rose to protect Sanatan Dharma, destroying evil forces and inspiring society to live with courage and righteousness.
CM Mohan Yadav was addressing the Parshuram Prakatotsav celebration in Mhow on the occasion of Lord Parashuram Jayanti. He offered prayers at the birthplace of Lord Parashuram, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for the people of the state.
The Chief Minister also announced that Parashuram Dham will be developed at Janapav to honor this sacred site. On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Smt. Savitri Thakur, Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Kavita Patidar, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, MLAs Ms. Usha Thakur and Shri Golu Shukla, along with saints and a large number of officials and devotees, were present.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the valor of Lord Parashuram and the significance of his divine weapons are evident across the eras of both Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna. He recalled that during the Swayamvar Lord Shri Ram broke the bow of Lord Parashuram, symbolizing a pivotal moment in history. Similarly, during the era of Lord Krishna, Lord Parashuram’s divine presence was seen once again when he gifted the Sudarshan Chakra to Shri Krishna for the protection of Dharma.
Dr. Yadav further noted that Lord Parashuram was the revered teacher of Guru Dronacharya, who in turn mentored the Kauravas and Pandavas. Through his life and actions, Lord Parashuram fearlessly conveyed the timeless message of upholding and protecting righteousness.
