Bhopal’s ANM Smt. Kiran Meena included in WHO’s World Report for doing remarkable work in vaccination

Under the ongoing World Vaccination Week for vaccination awareness, the work of field health workers is being evaluated by the Health Department and the World Health Organization. During this, the work and spirit of ANM Smt. Kiran Meena of Ward 48 of Bhopal has been appreciated on the international forum of the World Health Organization for doing remarkable work in vaccination of pregnant women and infants.

During the field visit under the leadership of Surveillance Medical Officer of the World Health Organization, feedback has been obtained by discussing with the beneficiaries.

In the evaluation, it was found that Mrs. Kiran Meena has done remarkable work towards the elimination of measles and rubella in her field of work. Meena has achieved 94% coverage of MR-1 vaccine and 90% coverage of MR-2 vaccine.

For doing commendable work in vaccination, the name was sent to the WHO by the local team of WHO for the praiseworthy work. This has been broadcast by the World Health Organization from its social media account.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Bhopal Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari told that this year vaccination week is being celebrated on the theme of Immunization for All is Humanly Possible. Activities are being organized to increase the reach and awareness of vaccination. The services being provided by the field workers are being evaluated and feedback is being taken from the beneficiaries. Vaccination coverage in the district is 105%.

टीकाकरण जागरूकता के लिए चल रहे विश्व टीकाकरण सप्ताह के अंतर्गत स्वास्थ्य विभाग एवं विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन द्वारा मैदानी स्वास्थ्य कार्यकर्ताओं के कार्यों का मूल्यांकन किया जा रहा है। इस दौरान गर्भवती महिलाओं और शिशु टीकाकरण में उल्लेखनीय कार्य करने पर भोपाल के वार्ड 48 की एएनएम श्रीमती किरण मीणा के कार्यों और जज्बे की सराहना विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय फोरम पर की गई है।

विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के सर्विलेंस मेडिकल ऑफिसर डॉ. एसएम जोशी के नेतृत्व में फील्ड भ्रमण के दौरान समय पर टीकाकरण, मातृ शिशु कार्ड में प्रविष्टि, यूविन पोर्टल में एंट्री एवं हितग्राहियों से चर्चा कर फीडबैक लिया गया है। मूल्यांकन में पाया गया कि श्रीमती किरण मीणा द्वारा अपने कार्यक्षेत्र में मीजल्स एवं रूबेला उन्मूलन की दिशा में उल्लेखनीय कार्य किया गया है। इनके द्वारा एम आर 01 टीके का 94% एवं एम आर 02 टीके का 90% कवरेज किया गया है।

टीकाकरण के लिए सराहनीय कार्य करने पर डब्ल्यू एच ओ की स्थानीय टीम द्वारा विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन को प्रशंसनीय कार्य के लिए नाम भेजा गया था। जिसे विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन द्वारा अपने सोशल मीडिया अकाउंट से प्रसारित किया गया है।

मुख्य चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी भोपाल डॉ. प्रभाकर तिवारी ने बताया कि ने बताया कि इस वर्ष टीकाकरण सप्ताह Immunization for All is Humanly Possible की थीम पर मनाया जा रहा है। टीकाकरण की पहुंच एवं जागरूकता को बढ़ाने के लिए गतिविधियां आयोजित की जा रही हैं। मैदानी कार्यकर्ताओं द्वारा दी जा रही सेवाओं का मूल्यांकन एवं हितग्राहियों से फीडबैक लिया जा रहा है। जिले में टीकाकरण कवरेज 105% है।
