Pahalgam terror attack: The cowardly terrorists in Pahalgam killed 27 innocent people that has caused tremendous anger in the whole country. After the footage, video and clippings of the incident came to light, there is naturally a wave of anger in the whole country.
The terrorists have not only fired bullets on the tourists who had come to Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate holidays with their families, but have also directly attacked the economy of Kashmir and the livelihoods of 2.5 lakh Kashmiris. After this attack, not only will the economic progress of Kashmir be put on hold, but the livelihood of lakhs of Kashmiris will also be in danger.
The terrorist attack in Pahalgam is a direct attack on Kashmiriyat, the soul of Kashmir. This incident has not only broken the trust of tourists but has also put the tourism industry, which is called the economic backbone of the valley, in deep trouble. Every bullet fired on a tourist has pushed Kashmir’s economy back by several years. Tourism has a special place among the main sources of income for Kashmir, which is called heaven on earth. Kashmir’s annual tourism industry is estimated to be worth Rs 12,000 crore.
According to estimates, by the year 2030, this industry is projected to grow to between Rs 25,000 crore and Rs 30,000 crore. Kashmir’s tourism contributes 7-8 percent to the total GDP of the state.
Pahalgam is called the Switzerland of India, where a large number of tourists come every day. This attack happened at the peak of tourism season. Obviously, in such a situation, this entire season in Kashmir is going to be ruined.
Kashmir has seen a steady rise in the number of tourists. In the year 2020, 34 lakh tourists came here, in 2021 the number of tourists visiting Kashmir increased manifold to 1.13 crores. Then in 2022, 1.88 crore tourists came here, in 2023, 2.11 crores and in 2024, 2.36 crore tourists came here. More than 65,000 foreign tourists were among the total tourists who came in 2024.
Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam and Dal Lake are at the top among the major tourist places of Kashmir. In the year 2024, Gulmarg generated revenue of Rs 103 crore. No doubt, the tourism industry will take a long time to get back on track and the people of Kashmir are going to suffer most due to the heinous act of terrorists.

पहलगाम में कायराना आतंकियों ने 27 निर्दोष लोगों की हत्या कर दी, जिससे पूरे देश में जबरदस्त गुस्सा है। घटना के फुटेज, वीडियो और क्लिपिंग सामने आने के बाद पूरे देश में आक्रोश की लहर दौड़ गई है। आतंकियों ने न सिर्फ जम्मू-कश्मीर में अपने परिवार के साथ छुट्टियां मनाने आए पर्यटकों पर गोलियां चलाई हैं, बल्कि कश्मीर की अर्थव्यवस्था और कश्मीरियों की आजीविका पर भी सीधा हमला किया है।
इस हमले के बाद न सिर्फ कश्मीर की आर्थिक तरक्की रुक जाएगी, बल्कि लाखों कश्मीरियों की आजीविका भी खतरे में पड़ जाएगी।
कश्मीरियत पर सीधा हमला
पहलगाम में आतंकी हमला कश्मीरियत पर सीधा हमला है, जो कश्मीर की आत्मा है। इस घटना ने पर्यटकों का भरोसा तोड़ा है और घाटी की आर्थिक रीढ़ माने जाने वाले पर्यटन उद्योग को गहरे संकट में डाल दिया है। पर्यटकों पर चली हर गोली ने कश्मीर की अर्थव्यवस्था को कई साल पीछे धकेल दिया है। धरती पर स्वर्ग कहे जाने वाले कश्मीर में आय के प्राथमिक स्रोतों में पर्यटन का विशेष स्थान है। कश्मीर में सालाना पर्यटन उद्योग का मूल्य 12,000 करोड़ रुपये है।
पर्यटन उद्योग के बढ़ने का अनुमान था
वर्ष 2030 तक इस उद्योग के 25,000 करोड़ रुपये से 30,000 करोड़ रुपये के बीच बढ़ने का अनुमान है। कश्मीर का पर्यटन राज्य के कुल सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में 7-8 प्रतिशत का योगदान देता है।
पूरा पर्यटन सीजन बर्बाद होने का खतरा
पहलगाम को भारत का स्विट्जरलैंड कहा जाता है, जहां रोजाना बड़ी संख्या में पर्यटक आते हैं। यह हमला पर्यटन सीजन के चरम पर हुआ और यह स्पष्ट है कि कश्मीर में अब पूरा सीजन बर्बाद होने का खतरा है।
गुलमर्ग, सोनमर्ग, पहलगाम और डल झील कश्मीर के शीर्ष पर्यटन स्थलों में से हैं। 2024 में गुलमर्ग ने 103 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व अर्जित किया।
पर्यटन उद्योग को उबरने में लंबा समय लगेगा
वर्ष 2020 में यहां 34 लाख पर्यटक आए, 2021 में कश्मीर आने वाले पर्यटकों की संख्या कई गुना बढ़कर 1.13 करोड़ हो गई। फिर 2022 में 1.88 करोड़ पर्यटक यहां आए, 2023 में 2.11 करोड़ और 2024 में 2.36 करोड़ पर्यटक यहां आए। 2024 में आए कुल पर्यटकों में 65,000 से अधिक विदेशी पर्यटक थे। निस्संदेह, पर्यटन उद्योग को उबरने में लंबा समय लगेगा, और आतंकवादियों की जघन्य हरकतों के कारण कश्मीर के लोगों को सबसे अधिक नुकसान उठाना पड़ेगा।
