The scorching summer heat often makes it challenging to stay active, but with the right fitness choices, staying healthy and energised is absolutely possible. From refreshing workouts to smart exercise timings, adapting your routine to the season can make all the difference. Vidisha Srivastava, who plays Anita Bhabi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares her favourite ways to stay fit, cool, and motivated during the peak of summer.
Vidisha Srivastava adds, “Fitness is my anchor, especially during busy shooting schedules when the days can get hectic. It keeps me grounded and gives me the energy I need to perform at my best. During summer, I love switching between Pilates and yoga; they complement each other beautifully. (Pilates is a system of exercises using special apparatus, designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness).
Vidisha says while Pilates helps with core strength and posture, yoga brings a sense of calm and balance that is much needed amidst the chaos.
Vidisha also likes to swim on weekends. She says, “On weekends, I am available for swimming. It is the perfect way to unwind, stay cool, and gently work every muscle in the body without feeling the heat.”
When it comes to food, Vidisha does not believe in crash diets or fads. “I prefer a clean, seasonal diet that nourishes me from within. Staying hydrated is a top priority. I keep sipping on nariyal paani and aam panna throughout the day. These natural drinks not only keep me refreshed but also help maintain electrolyte balance.”
For Vidisha, fitness is not about extremes, it is about consistency, listening to her body, and making mindful movement a natural part of her lifestyle.”
