BCCI has finally announced the central contract for 2024-25. This time BCCI has given place to 34 players in the contract. But, 9 players have also been shown the way out. After this now the question arises will the players who have not got the contract get a place in Team India or not?
Actually, this time BCCI has also included Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan in the central contract, but many players have been shown the way out. Obviously this is no less than a shock for the players who have been left out of the contract, but the truth is that the hopes of these players are not over yet.
Players earn crores from BCCI’s central contract, they get salary along with match fees. But, people also have this question in their mind that what happens to the players who did not get the contract, how do they earn? So let us tell you how they become rich.
Players like Shardul Thakur, Jitesh Sharma, Avesh Khan have been dropped from the central contract, but the doors of Team India are not closed for them yet. It is possible that these players come to Team India and get a chance to prove their ability again.
The most famous name among the players who has been dropped is Shardul Thakur. He can get a chance to play in Team India in future. He can join India’s team on the England tour in June. The Indian team has to play a five-Test series in England and Shardul can get a chance in this series. He is bowling brilliantly in IPL 2025. He can be made a part of the team in this series and can earn Rs 15 lakh per Test.
Another player Sai Sudarshan, left-handed batter who can bowl part-time leg-spin, can also return to Team India. His performance is quite impressive. He made his T20 debut last year and in 2023 he also played 3 ODIs on the South Africa tour. But he did not get the central contract.
However, Sai Sudarshan is also considered a contender to make a place in Team India for the England Test series. If Sai Sudarshan continues to perform well in IPL, then the doors of Team India will definitely open for him again.
Besides, there is a lot of money in domestic cricket of India as well. Players also get a lot of money in Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Trophy. IPL is also a big platform for earning. The players who have been left out of the central contract will now have to improve their performance so that next time BCCI gives them a contract worth crores.
