Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has reacted to the statement of Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly and Aam Aadmi Party MLA Atishi on Mahila Samridhi Yojana.
Sachdeva said, “Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal repeatedly called Atishi Marlena a caretaker Chief Minister.”
“Atishi Marlena’s statement shows more of her frustration and disappointment. She herself has held a constitutional post. She should know some legal procedures.”
Sachdeva said, “To implement any scheme, a plan has to be made. The budget has to be passed. Cabinet’s consent is needed. We did that work yesterday. Rs 5100 crore has been allocated for this.”
Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party MLA and Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Atishi had raised a question on the amount given to women on Instagram.
She had written, “In Delhi elections, Modi ji had promised that on Women’s Day, every woman of Delhi will get Rs 2500 in her account. He had said – this is ‘Modi’s guarantee’.”
“Today is 8th March. Neither money came in the account, nor registration started, only a 4-member committee was formed. That is, after digging a mountain, a mouse came out. Was this Modi ji’s guarantee?”
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has hit back on this statement.
Sachdeva said, “It will take time to fill the holes left by Atishi Marlena and Arvind Kejriwal. It is our commitment that we will fulfill every promise. We have taken a step in that direction.”
“Sisters will start getting Rs 2500 per month under Mahila Samridhi Yojana. Along with that, Delhi also has to be developed. There is a problem of sewage, there is a problem of roads, there is a problem of cleanliness, that too needs to be fixed.”
He said, “Aatishi Marlena, I have just one request to you. It has been 37 months, the women of Punjab are looking for you. Please pay attention to them. We will take care of Delhi.”
