Bhopal: On the occasion of International Women’s Day-2025, the Department of Public Health and Medical Education organized a women’s health awareness rally “Shakti Walkathon“. More than 2000 women participated enthusiastically in the Shakti Walkathon which started from Atal Path Bhopal and strengthened the message of health awareness.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary, Public Health and Medical Education Mr. Sandeep Yadav, Commissioner Health Mr. Tarun Rathi, Mission Director Dr. Saloni Sidana, Senior Joint Director and State Nodal Officer (Preventive Gynecology, Oncology and Infertility) and Director State IEC Bureau Dr. Rachna Dubey and other senior officers were present.
During the rally, the logo of “Shakti” (Spreading Health Awareness and Knowledge through Technology and Innovation) initiative was unveiled. On this occasion, five such women were honored who are living a healthy life after defeating cervical and breast cancer, as well as those women who got the happiness of motherhood after long-term treatment. Zumba and other fitness activities were organized in the rally, which increased the interest of women towards health and fitness.
Departmental officers, health experts, representatives of social organizations and members of various institutions were present on this occasion. Shakti Walkathon not only became a symbol of awareness towards women’s health, but a unique confluence of women’s enthusiasm and confidence was also seen in it.
Pink colored balloons were released in the sky as a symbol of women’s health and awareness in the rally. This event gave the message that an aware woman can lead not only herself but the entire society towards health and well-being.
For the first time in the state, the Department of Public Health and Medical Education is establishing “Shakti Sampoorna Mahila Swasthya Kendra” to provide complete health facilities to women at one place. This center will be opened in Kailash Nath Katju Civil Hospital of Bhopal and will provide complete services related to preventive gynecology, oncology and infertility.
In this center, services like PCOS, fibroids, infertility, breast and uterine cancer treatment and menopause counseling will be provided by specialist doctors through state-of-the-art technology. Along with this, free checkups and necessary medicines will also be provided to all women, so that they can get timely medical help.

भोपाल: अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस-2025 के अवसर पर लोक स्वास्थ्य एवं चिकित्सा शिक्षा विभाग द्वारा महिला स्वास्थ्य जागरूकता रैली “शक्ति वॉकथॉन” का आयोजन किया गया। अटल पथ भोपाल से प्रारंभ हुई शक्ति वॉकथॉन में 2000 से अधिक महिलाओं ने बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लिया और स्वास्थ्य के प्रति जागरूकता के संदेश को सशक्त बनाया। इस अवसर पर प्रमुख सचिव, लोक स्वास्थ्य एवं चिकित्सा शिक्षा श्री संदीप यादव, आयुक्त स्वास्थ्य श्री तरूण राठी, मिशन संचालक डॉ. सलोनी सिडाना, वरिष्ठ संयुक्त संचालक एवं स्टेट नोडल अधिकारी (प्रिवेंटिव गायनोकॉलोजी, ऑन्कोलॉजी एवं इनफर्टिलिटी) एवं संचालक राज्य आईईसी ब्यूरो डॉ. रचना दुबे सहित अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
रैली के दौरान “शक्ति” (स्प्रेडिंग हेल्थ अवेयरनेस एंड नॉलेज थ्रू टेक्नोलॉजी एंड इनोवेशन) पहल के लोगो का अनावरण किया गया। इस अवसर पर पांच ऐसी महिलाओं को सम्मानित किया गया जो सर्वाइकल और ब्रेस्ट कैंसर से विजयी होकर स्वस्थ जीवन जी रही हैं, साथ ही उन महिलाओं को भी सम्मानित किया गया जिन्होंने दीर्घकालिक उपचार के पश्चात मातृत्व सुख प्राप्त किया।
रैली में जुम्बा और अन्य फिटनेस गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया, जिससे महिलाओं में स्वास्थ्य और फिटनेस के प्रति रुचि बढ़ी। इस अवसर पर विभागीय अधिकारी, स्वास्थ्य विशेषज्ञ, सामाजिक संगठनों के प्रतिनिधि और विभिन्न संस्थानों के सदस्य उपस्थित रहे। शक्ति वॉकथॉन न केवल महिला स्वास्थ्य के प्रति जागरूकता का प्रतीक बना, बल्कि इसमें महिलाओं के उत्साह और आत्मविश्वास का अनूठा संगम भी देखने को मिला।
रैली में महिला स्वास्थ्य और जागरूकता के प्रतीक स्वरूप गुलाबी रंग के गुब्बारे आकाश में छोड़े गये। इस आयोजन ने यह संदेश दिया कि एक जागरूक महिला न केवल स्वयं को बल्कि पूरे समाज को स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण की ओर अग्रसर कर सकती है।
लोक स्वास्थ्य एवं चिकित्सा शिक्षा विभाग द्वारा प्रदेश में पहली बार महिलाओं को संपूर्ण स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं एक ही स्थान पर उपलब्ध कराने के लिए “शक्ति संपूर्ण महिला स्वास्थ्य केंद्र” की स्थापना की जा रही है। यह केंद्र भोपाल के कैलाश नाथ काटजू सिविल अस्पताल में खुलेगा और इसमें प्रिवेंटिव गायनोकॉलोजी, ऑन्कोलॉजी एवं इनफर्टिलिटी से संबंधित संपूर्ण सेवाएं उपलब्ध कराई जाएंगी। इस केंद्र में विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकों द्वारा पीसीओएस, फाइब्रॉइड, निःसंतानता, स्तन एवं गर्भाशय कैंसर के उपचार तथा मेनोपॉज परामर्श जैसी सेवाएं अत्याधुनिक तकनीक के माध्यम से प्रदान की जाएंगी। साथ ही, सभी महिलाओं को निःशुल्क जांच एवं आवश्यक दवाएं भी उपलब्ध कराई जाएंगी, जिससे उन्हें समय पर चिकित्सा सहायता मिल सके।
