According to big news received from Uttarakhand, Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers got trapped in an avalanche near the border village of Mana in Chamoli district today i.e. Friday, February 28. According to the information so far, 57 workers of a private contractor are buried in the snow. All these workers were living in a camp there, all of them became victims of the accident.
Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that, due to the avalanche, a camp of Border Roads Organisation got buried between Mana and Badrinath. Mana is the last village located at an altitude of 3,200 meters on the Indo-Tibet border. Amid the continuing snowfall and rain, teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and SDRF have left for the spot.
At the same time, Police Headquarters spokesperson IG Nilesh Anand Bharne said that, “A massive avalanche has occurred near the Border Roads Organisation camp in the border area Mana, in which 57 workers engaged in road construction are trapped. Out of these workers, 10 workers have been rescued and sent to the army camp near Mana in critical condition. “
Meanwhile, BRO (Border Roads Organisation) Executive Engineer CR Meena said that ambulances have also been sent, but due to heavy snowfall, the rescue team is facing difficulties in reaching there.
The dates of the upcoming Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand have been announced. In view of this, the work of removing snow from the road and repairing it near Mana village, three kilometers ahead of Badrinath Dham, is going on rapidly. Today, on Friday morning, 57 workers of a private contractor were removing snow from the road, when suddenly the glacier on the mountain burst and all the workers got buried in the same snow.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on the workers getting buried in an avalanche during the construction work being done by BRO, “57 workers of BRO were trapped, out of which 16 people have been evacuated safely and efforts are on for the rest. All kinds of preparations have been made. Our disaster management department is fully active. The district administration and we ourselves are in constant touch and our effort is to get everyone out safely as soon as possible.”
उत्तराखंड से मिली खबरों के अनुसार, शुक्रवार 28 फरवरी को चमोली जिले के सीमावर्ती गांव माणा के पास हुए हिमस्खलन में सीमा सड़क संगठन (बीआरओ) के 57 मजदूर फंस गए। शुरुआती जानकारी के अनुसार, एक निजी ठेकेदार द्वारा नियोजित 57 मजदूर बर्फ में दब गए हैं। ये मजदूर घटना के समय मौके पर ही एक शिविर में रह रहे थे।
चमोली के जिला मजिस्ट्रेट संदीप तिवारी ने पुष्टि की कि हिमस्खलन में माणा और बद्रीनाथ के बीच स्थित बीआरओ का एक शिविर दब गया। माणा भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पर 3,200 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित आखिरी गांव है। जारी बर्फबारी और बारिश को देखते हुए राष्ट्रीय आपदा प्रतिक्रिया बल (एनडीआरएफ) और राज्य आपदा प्रतिक्रिया बल (एसडीआरएफ) की टीमों को घटनास्थल पर भेजा गया है।
पुलिस मुख्यालय के प्रवक्ता आईजी नीलेश आनंद भरणे ने बताया कि बीआरओ शिविर के पास एक बड़ा हिमस्खलन हुआ, जिसमें सड़क निर्माण में लगे 57 मजदूर फंस गए। अब तक 10 श्रमिकों को बचा लिया गया है और उन्हें गंभीर हालत में माना के पास सेना के शिविर में पहुंचाया गया है।
बीआरओ के कार्यकारी अभियंता सीआर मीना ने बताया कि इलाके में एंबुलेंस भेजी गई हैं, लेकिन भारी बर्फबारी के कारण बचाव दल की पहुंच में बाधा आ रही है।
उत्तराखंड में आगामी चारधाम यात्रा की तारीखों की घोषणा कर दी गई है। इसकी तैयारी के तहत बद्रीनाथ धाम से करीब तीन किलोमीटर दूर माना गांव के पास बर्फ हटाने और सड़कों की मरम्मत का काम चल रहा है। घटना की सुबह 57 श्रमिक बर्फ हटाने के काम में लगे थे, तभी पहाड़ पर ग्लेशियर टूट गया और वे बर्फ में दब गए।
उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने स्थिति पर टिप्पणी करते हुए कहा, “बीआरओ के 57 मजदूर फंसे हुए थे, जिनमें से 16 लोगों को सुरक्षित निकाल लिया गया है, और बाकी के लिए प्रयास जारी हैं। सभी तरह की तैयारियां की गई हैं। हमारा आपदा प्रबंधन विभाग पूरी तरह सक्रिय है। जिला प्रशासन और हम लगातार संपर्क में हैं, और हमारा उद्देश्य जल्द से जल्द सभी का सुरक्षित रेस्क्यू सुनिश्चित करना है।”
