
Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) Bhopal admirably hosted the Inaugural session of Twin International Conferences on February 21 in the Swami Vivekanand Senate Hall.
One is “Two Days International Conference on Financing a Green Future: Green Bonds and the Transition to a Low- Carbon Economy” (Sponsored By: Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi) organized by the Deptt of Management Studies, and the other is “Two Days 3rd International Conference on Innovations in Clean Energy Technologies (ICET)” (Sponsored By: DST-ANRF- Anusandhan National Research Foundation, GoI) organized by the Energy Centre.
The grand inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Ashu Shukla (Retd. IG, CRPF & Visiting Professor, IIT Kanpur) who enlightened the gathering by underlining that our Green Future lies in our traditional roots, heritage and holistic approach. Guest of Honour Shri Manu Srivastava (Addl Chief Secretary, Renewable Energy Department, MP) emphasized that going Green is not painful but is pay-full, and motivated the researcher participants to opt real life problems for their works. The Keynote Speaker Dr. Satish Kumar (Prof. of Finance, IIM Nagpur) elaborated upon the Green Bonds to create a low carbon economy.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Karunesh Kumar Shukla (Director, MANIT) who appealed one and all to come out of their comfort zones to save fossil fuels and contribute towards net zero mission. The Green Future conference organising secretaries are Dr. Srinu Nevanath, Gyan Kushwaha and Bikram Kesari under the headship of Dr. Amit Banerji (HOD, Management Studies), and ICET Clean Technology conference organising secretaries are Dr. Meena Agrawal, Dr. Gaurav Dwivedi and Dr. T.N. Verma with chairman as Dr. Prashant Baredar (HOD, Energy Centre).
Each of the conference has received more than 220 research papers out of which select 100 are published in the Abstract Books unveiled by the Dignitaries on the Dias, marking an official record of research contributions. Also, the industrial partners shared insights on solar energy systems, hybrid cooling solutions, and electric vehicle innovations. Several technical sessions and research paper presentations will be conducted on 21st and 22nd of Feb. 2025 in hybrid mode. Such conferences at MANIT Bhopal always prove to be a significant step towards advancing innovation, research, and sustainable energy solutions for a greener future.
