However, no information has been revealed so far about how the Indians will be deported this time, whether they will be sent back in handcuffs and shackles.
In Amritsar, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, ‘It is wrong to land a plane carrying illegal immigrants in Punjab. This is a conspiracy to defame Punjab. Those who went to the US illegally are being deported. Earlier also, people who were deported were from different states. Then why are the planes being landed only in Amritsar.”
Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said, ‘The central government wants to defame Punjab. Why doesn’t it land the plane in Gujarat, Haryana or Delhi.’
The first US military aircraft to deport Indian immigrants took off from San Antonio, USA at 3 am on February 4. This was the first time that the US used a military aircraft to send immigrants.
