
Delhi Assembly Elections-2025 Results: Former Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal has accepted his party’s defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections-2025.
In a video message, he said, “We accept the decision of the people. We accept our defeat with all humility. I congratulate the BJP and hope that they will fulfill the expectations with which the people have elected them.”
Kejriwal further said, “We tried to do a lot of work in the 10 years. We thank the people for the opportunity given to us for serving them. We tried to improve education, health, water and infrastructure. We will continue to work for the people in future and will play the role of constructive opposition.”
Congratulating the Aam Aadmi Party workers, he said, “You people fought the elections in a great way despite facing many difficulties. You worked very hard.”
In the trends so far, the Bharatiya Janata Party has crossed the majority mark and is leading on 48 seats, while Aam Aadmi Party is ahead on only 22 seats.
Many big leaders of AAP are either trailing or have lost the election. Arvind Kejriwal himself is trailing by almost 4000 votes from New Delhi where BJP’s Pravesh Verma is set to be elected.
Many other big leaders of Aam Aadmi Party are also trailing. Saurabh Bhardwaj, Somnath Bharti, Satyendra Jain are trailing behind BJP on their respective seats.
AAP candidates Manish Sisodia from Jangpura seat and Awadh Ojha from Patparganj seat have accepted their defeat.
